The project “Measures to revitalize the fishing sector” financed by European Union through the Operational Programme for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs 2014-2020. The project was contracted on 22.04.2021 and is in implementation until 23.04.2023, the budget is 200.000,00 euro. The general objective of the project is to contribute to the increase and capitalization of the environmental assets of the fishing and aquaculture areas on the territory of Local Southwest Danube Fisheries Action Group through activities of: assessment of ichthyofauna in the fishing area in order to identify and increase the potential on market of exploited species, elaboration of a marketing strategy for the promotion of fishery products and public meetings with the fishing community in order to disseminate the identified measures and to transmit the proposed solutions in order to sustainably capitalize on local fishery resources or fishery potential.
