Name of the Touristic Attraction: Rajko Cave’s Story

Description: According to a legend, once there lived a certain Rajko from Majdanpek who owned a tavern. During the day he hosted and served guests in his tavern and during the night he robbed travelers on the road Majdanpek – Donji Milanovac.

He hid the treasure that he collected in the cave that nowadays bears his name.

The story says that most of Rajko’s treasure lies somewhere inside the cave and that it is marked by Rajko’s handprint on the wall above the treasure’s place.

It is said that the handprint is spersonalized because one finger (the little finger) is missing – he lost it in one of the robberies – this means that Rajko’s handprint has only four fingers and Rajko intentionally left it on a wall in the cave to be able to easily find his treasure.

A lot of people have tried to find the hidden treasure within Rajko’s cave and today you can see the holes that people were digging hoping that they were on the right path to Rajko’s treasure.
