Name of the Touristic Attraction: The Eco-touristic Trail “Ciucaru Mare-Ponicova”
Location: in Mehedinți County. The access to the route is made from DN57, national road, at the exist of Dubova towards Moldova Nouă, about 2 km away from Dubova City Hall.
Description: The eco-touristic route is made of mountain paths that cross oak forests, beech forests and numerous meadows. Here grows “drobiţa”, a plant from which vegetable dyes were extracted for wool dyeing. The route is sprinkled with belvedere points from where you can admire The Large Boilers (Cazanele Mari) and Veliki Strbac, on the Serbian side of the Danube.

– degree of difficulty: medium
– does not require special physical condition (moderate physical effort)
– marked with an equilateral triangle with a white border
– Depending on the season it is recommended:
- Equipping with boots and waterproof clothing
- Endowment with at least one bottle of 1 liter of water per person and a support stick
