Legend / Story / Impressions / Recommendations: During the period of communism, blocks were built on the island in which the workers who were working at the Iron Gates II Hydro Power Plant lived. Specialists and workers from all corners of the country came here, and overnight formed a small town, originally raised from cardboard barracks. Later, were built brick blocks, a school, a dispensary, and a club where people could relax. Thus, in 1977 a new community was born, called the Iron Gates II Colony. Today, only about 70 families live on the island, isolated from the rest of the community.
