St. George’s Church is the only church in Kladovo was built in 1856 during the Obrenovic.
This beautiful building surrounded by greenery, located in the central part of the promenade of Kladovo.
According to the data recorded concerning the name of the city, there are records regarding the origins of the church from 1735. The clock tower dates back in 1866.
The Clock Tower dates from 1866. During the war against Turkey in 1876 the church was damaged, and then renovated in 1878. In the church there are icons representing St. Nicholas and Jesus and the gospel from 1805, a gift from Prince Milos and a silver cross.
