Name of the Touristic Attraction: The Wooden Church in Seliștea

Location: in Seliștea Village, Isverna Commune, Mehedinți County. Seliștea Village is located 63 km away from Drobeta Turnu Severin and 3 km away from Isverna Commune. You can get here from Drobeta Turnu Severin, on DJ670, then from Nadanova, on DJ671E.

Legend / Story / Impressions / Recommendations: The Wooden Church in Seliştea was built in 1820 with mortar plaster. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and its icons date back in 1835. The shape of the church is of a ship, with a bell tower and a porch resting on wooden posts embedded in plaster. The construction is covered with short shingle and was built on the site of an older church, form 1794 and bearing the holy Angels.
