Bara\u010dila. Tada se zvao \u00ab\u00a0Muzej istorije gimnazije Trajan\u00a0\u00bb, a 1926. preme\u0161ten je u novu zgradu koja je bila izgradjena pored rimskog kastruma.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Posle 1945. muzeju se pridaje sve ve\u0107a pa\u017enja i stalno se pro\u0161iruje, dobija ime Muzej Regiona Porcile de Fier.<br \/>\nVremenom, nabavkom novih predmeta (veliki deo iz privatne kolekcije C.I. Istrati), muzej se pro\u0161iruje 1972. kada je sve\u010dano otvoren sada\u0161nji muzej, sa preko100.000 predmeta, sa 4 odelenja\u00a0: istorija, prirodne nauke, etnografija i umetnost.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Odelenje istorije broji preko 50.000 eksponata po\u010dev sa predmetima iz gornjeg paleolitika, pa prolaze\u0107i kroz vekove, sve do pro\u0161log veka. Vredan pa\u017enje je Homo Sapiens koji ima 8000 godina a pronadjen je u mestu Skela Kladovej. Obiman prostor namenjen je drevnoj i srednjevekovnoj Drobeti (kolekcije oru\u017eja, kovani novac, ukrasni predmeti, keramika). Odelenje istorija-arheologija raspola\u017ee sa dve prostorije\u00a0: Preistorija \u2013 ostacii materijalnog i duhovnog \u017eivota iz kulture Skela Kladovej, geto-da\u010danska civilizacija, da\u010dansko-rimski ratovi, rimski drevni spomenici, most kod Drobete iz 103.-105.godine, duhovni \u017eivot Drobete, srednjevekovna istorija, moderna epoha, rumunska feudalna umetnost i savremena epoha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Odelenje prirodnih nauka obuhvata veliki prostor sa florom i faunom specifi\u010dnu podneblju dunavske klisure, veliki proj geolo\u0161kih eksponata kai i interesantan akvarijum sa dunavskim ribama.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Odelenje za etnografiju i folklor prikazuju seosku civilizaciju okruga Mehedinca, lepu narodnu no\u0161nju, unutra\u0161njost seoskih ku\u0107a, unutra\u0161njost ku\u0107e sa ade Ada-kale, keramiku \u0160i\u0161e\u0161ti kao i druge predmete specifi\u010dne za tradicionalna zanimanja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zgrada u kojoj se nalazi Muzej umetnosti je sama po sebi pravi spomenik arhitekture. Stilisti\u010dki se uklapa u arhitekturi grada u kojoj preovladjuje zapadna barokna eklekti\u010dka struja. U muzeju se nalaze rumunska umetni\u010dka dela velikana likovne umetnosti (Paladi, Tonica, Petra\u0161ku, Lukian, Sirato, Stoenesku, Resu, Iser).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stalna izlo\u017eba ovog muzeja je organizovana i u muzeju hidroelektrane Djerdap I.
