Sme\u0161ten je u Karata\u0161u, pod HE \u0110erdap I. Tvr\u0111ava je podignuta kao jedna od baza za vreme ratova sa Dakijom i obezbe\u0111ivanje plovidbe Dunavom. U okviru lokaliteta vr\u0161e se arheolo\u0161ka istra\u017eivanja. Diana je arheolo\u0161ko nalazi\u0161te od velikog zna\u010daja, i kao takava nalazi se pod za\u0161titom Republike Srbije.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tvr\u0111ava Diana se nalazi jedan kilometar nizvodno od HE &#8220;\u0110erdap&#8221;. To je bilo najzna\u010dajnije utvr\u0111enje na granici Rimskog carstva.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To je tako\u0111e bio zna\u010dajan privredni i trgova\u010dki centar po \u010demu se izdvaja od drugih anti\u010dkih lokaliteta.Izgradnja tvr\u0111ave zavr\u0161ena je 101, za vreme vladavine cara Trajana u vreme njegovog prvog osvajanja Dakie, istovremeno i kanala, &#8220;Sipski kanal&#8221;, na taj na\u010din prevazi\u0161ao je najve\u0107u prepreku za putovanje niz reku Dunav.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diana je napravljena na strate\u0161ki zna\u010dajnoj lokaciji njen osnovni cilj bio je da za\u0161titi granicu i u\u010dvrsti nizvodni ulaz u kanal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tvr\u0111ava Diana je kori\u0161\u0107ena kao utvr\u0111enje sve do VI veka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Danas, Diana je najbolje o\u010duvana tvr\u0111ava iz rimskog perioda u \u0110erdapskom podru\u010dju.<a
