Do Strehaia mo\u017eete doc\u0301i putem DN6, koji povezuje Drobeta Turnu Severin i Craiovu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Legende \/ Pri\u010de \/ Impresije<\/strong> <strong>\/ Preporuke<\/strong>: Manastir je sagra\u0111en sredinom 17. veka tokom vladavine Mateja Basaraba. Manastirski zdanje, koje se sastoji od kula, odbrambenih zidova i same crkve, kao i ru\u0161evina starih rezidencija gospodara, nalazi se na listi istorijskih spomenika u Rumuniji. Manastir Strehaia je jedini manastir u zemlji koja ima oltar prema jugu. Legenda, koju je i sam Nicolae Iorga, prepri\u010davao ka\u017ee da je Mihai Viteazu, ro\u0111en u Strehaia, zato \u0161to je sagradio noc\u0301u, bio je dezorijentisan, pa je tako oltar sagra\u0111en prema jugu. Ono \u0161to je sigurno je da je Matei Basarab zadr\u017eao istu orijentaciju. Druge pri\u010de govore da je razlog za\u0161to je oltar orijentisan prema jugu bio strate\u0161ki, kako bi se Turci zabunili i dezorijentalisali. Jo\u0161 jedna hipoteza je da je orijentisana uzimajuc\u0301i u obzir zimsku kratkodnevnicu, jer 22. decembra izme\u0111u 8:30 i 9:00 \u010dasova sun\u010deva svetlost koja ulazi u prozor sa oltara
