{"id":801,"date":"2018-01-30T11:39:14","date_gmt":"2018-01-30T11:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/promehedinti.ro\/?p=801"},"modified":"2018-11-16T13:50:53","modified_gmt":"2018-11-16T10:50:53","slug":"biserica-maicii-domnului-negotin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/promehedinti.ro\/en\/biserica-maicii-domnului-negotin\/","title":{"rendered":"The Church of Holy Mother &#8211; Negotin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The church was built in Negotin previous to the first rebellion of 1803.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Church of the Holy Mother was built in 1803, at the time when the Turkish mosque prevailed the worship places of Christian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, Pazvan-oglu approved the construction of the\u00a0church at the request of Metropolitan Kalinik. During the defense of Negotin in the first Serbian Uprising, the church served as a hospital for accommodation of the wounded, and in its port legendary hero Hajduk Veljko and several of his haiduks were buried here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The famous Serbian composer Stevan Mokranjac also led and sang in the church.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a
