The biodiversity conservation in the sustainable development perspective<\/strong>\u201d, co-financed by European Regional Development Fund, financed by Ministry of Environment and Forests through Sectorial Operational Programme \u201cEnvironment, SMIS-CSNR 10883; implementation period: 2009-2011.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Short description<\/em>: The biodiversity conservation in the sustainable development perspective of the protected area Gruia \u2013 Garla Mare, Implementation of the conservation means regarding the wild birds of community importance by developing the management plan of the protected natural area Gruia- Garla Mare; Raising the awareness of the local community on the conservation of birds species of community interest in the natural protected area Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare; Increase the management institutional capacity of the protected natural area Gruia- Garla Mare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The project achieved the following activities<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Developing the management plan for the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area; -Inventory of community importance bird species of the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area and assessing the current state of conservation of the Protected Natural Area;<\/li>\n<li>Mapping of the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area, drawing up maps of distribution of community importance bird species of the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area and identifying the categories of land use in the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area with highlighting the type of property;<\/li>\n<li>Establishing 4 information sessions on community importance bird species in the Gruia &#8211; Garla Mare Protected Natural Area;<\/li>\n<li>Establishing 4 thematic workshops \u201cSave the Birds of Europe!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Making a documentary film \u201cSave the Birds of Europe!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Establishing a web site for information on community importance bird species in the Gruia &#8211;
