The access to the route is made from Drobeta Turnu Severin, on DJ 607B to Cire\u015fu, then DC3 to Podeni (35 km) or on E70 from the Bahna viaduct on DJ607C.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Description: <\/strong>The route starts from the center of Gornenti Village, climbs the main road, then at the fountain, it follows the road that turns to the right and after approx. 600 m goes out of the village. The trail follows the forest road that goes up north, then turns toward west. The route passes by a sheepfold and reaches to the south-eastern base of \u201cCiolanul Mare\u201d. It traverses a stretch of peaks, crosses a forested area and reaches a crossroads. It goes through a portion close to the ridge, passed through a wooden area and reaches a crossroads. The right-going road goes up to a slate career. The route follows the left one, crossing the stony slope, above the area called \u201cLa Funduri\u201d, where there is the water capture of the villages Gornenti and Malari\u0219ca. At about 4.5 km after leaving the village, the trail reaches the main ridge of the Mehedin\u021bi Mountains. After crossing the glade sloped with limestone boulders, the road descends on a wooded karst valley, passes through Gherghina&#8217;s Crane and after approx. 1.5 km meets a forest road which, following to the right, leads shortly to the glade of Balta Cerbului.
