The island is located downstream from the Iron Gates I Hydroelectric Power Plant, between Romania and Serbia, southeast of Drobeta Turnu-Severin, in the vicinity of \u0218imian Commune, being visible from DN6.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Legend\/ Story\/ Impressions\/ Recommendations: <\/strong>The Island has an area of 55.50 hectares and the archaeological finds attest to the fact that it was inhabited since the Middle Neolithic. During the construction of the Traian&#8217;s Bridge between 103 and 105, the island served as a natural base for water diversion dams. In 1968, before the Iron Gate Lake was formed, a series of objects and objectives were moved to the island of \u0218iman on the island of Ada-Kaleh.
