Name of the Touristic Attraction: <\/strong>Saint Calinic Church<\/p>\n

Location: <\/strong>in F\u00e2nt\u00e2na Domneasc\u0103 Village, Pruni\u0219or Commune, Mehedin\u021bi County, located at \u00a025 km west from Drobeta Turnu Severin.<\/p>\n

Legend \/ Story \/ Impressions<\/strong> \/ Recommendations<\/strong>: Considered one of the most beautiful churches among the villages of Mehedinti, it was originally built in 1785 in V\u0103giulesti, with Constantin Str\u00e2mbeanu\u2019s money. At that time, he was a manorial chef. Later on, in 1889, it was repaired and repainted at the request of princess Zoe Br\u00e2ncoveanu. In 1910, the church was brought and placed next to the Corcova mansion, by Prince Anton Bibescu himself, but without being consecrated. In 1948, when the nationalization came, the church became a warehouse and later, an animal shelter. In 1969, advocate Constantin V. Robescu, nephew of a priest, gets the approval from the Department of Cults to recover what was left out of the church’s wood, in order to build a new dwelling in his village, F\u00e2nt\u00e2na Domneasc\u0103. Thus, between 1970 and 1977, the church was built as a chapel for the new cemetery. The church is completed and sanctified in 1979, two years after the death of its founder.<\/p>\n
