Due to the location in the southwestern region of the country, in the vicinity of the Danube, benefiting from a favorable climate of Mediterranean continental influence, this vineyard has always produced remarkable wines. Statistics confirm that here we have an ideal temperature throughout the year and a sufficient number of sunny hours, a very important element in achieving full grain maturity. Because he knew that Demetra had never approved such a union, Hades helped by Zeus planned to kidnap her. Persephone, playing in a glade with her nymph companions, saw a daffodil, and while picking it up, the earth broke under and swallowed her. Demetra was devastated that she could not protect her child and angrily put a curse on the nymph to turn into sirens. Finally, supported by Hecate and Helios, Demetra managed to persuade Zeus to bring her daughter back, but Hades convinced Persephone to eat 4 pomegranate seeds that condemned her to live for four months in Hell, even if she spent the rest of the year with her mother. This myth is associated with the coming of spring and winter. When Persephone came to Earth, it was spring and The Little Mysteries of Eleusine were held, and when it came down to Hades, it was winter and The Great Mysteries of Eleusine were held.

Conditions:

The winery can be visited with a prior appointment.

Information and Contact:

Contact person: Costel Cainamisir: tel: +4 0723 563 202,

e-mail: costel.cainamisir@vinarte.ro

Nicolae Filipescu Street, no. 43, sect 2, Bucharest,

phone: +4021 3233803

fax: +40213229244

e-mail: office@vinarte.ro; vanzari@vinarte.ro

website: www.vinarte.ro

Route closed to other thematic routes:

You can also visit in the area:

– Lunca Vânjului Forest

– Stârmina Forest

– “Saint Nicholas” Church from Rogova village, built in 1832

– ”Saint John the Baptizer” church from Poroiniţa village, built in 1822, with painting and frescoes

GPS coordonates: lat, lng (44.46871901558849, 22.80693050000002), DN56A, Rogova, Romania

Thematic Route: Gastronomic Route The Name of Tourist Attraction: Vinarte-Stârmina Winery Location: The Vinarte Company has three production centers consisting of vine plantations and wine cellars.
