Name of the attraction: <\/strong>Gradasnica Cave<\/p>\n

Location: <\/strong>Miroc Mountain, Municipality Majdanpek, Borski District, Eastern Serbia, Republic of Serbia.<\/p>\n

Description: <\/strong>Cave Grada\u0161nica is located at an altitude of 380 m and it is a monument of nature with a river basin with the same name. There are different types of birds and bats at the cave entrance. The cave’s length is 520 m and through it passes the river water flow.<\/p>\n

Legend\/ Story\/ Impressions<\/strong>\/ Recommendations:\u00a0<\/strong>The cave is located at the foot of Miro\u010d Mountain, which for centuries has been the foothold of various armies, since the Roman period until the Second World War. An ancient Roman road built in the 1st century goes by the cave, so the whole area is interesting for the treasure hunters. It is assumed that the cave and the river that originated from it, were named after the fortress Gradac which was located from the mouth of the Pore\u010d river to the Danube.<\/p>\n

Conditions:\u00a0<\/strong>The cave can be reached hiking or by bicycle. From the main road to the\u00a0 Miro\u010d village, there is a marked pedestrian path that leads to the cave.<\/p>\n

Information:\u00a0<\/strong>The cave is in the \u0110erdap (The Iron Gates) National Park on the Miro\u010d mountain and it can be reached along the marked hiking trail. A cave tour is possible only with the escort of the rangers from the National Park Djerdap.<\/p>\n

Route near to other thematic tourist routes:\u00a0<\/strong>Near the cave Grada\u0161nica, there are several more explored and unexplored caves that tourists can visit and the village of Miro\u010d on the Miro\u010d mountain. Also, Miro\u010d Mountain is very well known for its bountiful nature and for hunting.<\/p>\n

Other useful information:\u00a0<\/strong>In the vicinity there is the village of Miro\u010d, which can be reached easily and in some of the restaurants you can try some local specialties, out of which the most famous are the Miroc lamb, the game meat, or the boiled cheese. And at 15 kilometers away there is Donji Milanovac where you can find accommodation and in the restaurants, try some local specialties.<\/p>\n
