The building\u2019s grandeur and technical ingenuity were astonishing and still are even today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was built in record time, in only three years (103-105) in the respite between the two dacian wars.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some scenes on Traian\u2019s column, present the inauguration of the bridge and the way it looked like. In present, using the information offered by the archaeological and numismatic researches, and the ones revealed by the Column, the most accurately reconstitution of Traian\u2019s bridge of Drobeta, was made . Its author was the French engineer Edgar Duperrex in 1906.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bridge had a total length of 1135 m, a width of 14,55 m and a height of 18,60 m, and was supported by 20 colums. Today, it is still visible the portal pier which supported the bridge entrance portal, with trophies and abutment pier, which supported the bridge\u2019s wooden structure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is not known the exact time when the bridge became un-functionally, but it is sure that it was at some time after the Romans left Dacia (274 p.Ch.). One mock-up of the bridge, long of 21 m, was made in the museum\u2019s expositional pavilions.<a href=\"http:\/\/promehedinti.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1-1-36.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
